Andrew's First Symphony concert

We decided it was about time for Andrew to experience his first trip to the symphony. And what better way than Stars Wars in Concert. For those of you who are not familiar, this is a retelling of the Star Wars series with music played live by a symphony, a huge screen showing scenes from the movie, lights,fire and smoke special effects, and live narration by Anthony Daniels (C3P0). We were more than a little concerned that Andrew wouldn't make it through the first 5 minutes, as it would be a bit overwhelming. We got there about an hour early, and he was definitely hesitant at first, with all the storm troopers walking around and stuff. But, once the concert begun, he was pretty into it. He danced to some of the music, and jumped at the special effects. It was a fun evening. Also fun-the people watching. The people who came in costume (kids and adults alike) were almost as amusing as the few women in formal attire looking a bit confused, who maybe weren't told by their dates what this particular event at the symphony was, exactly.
