Pumpkin Farm
When we returned from Indiana, we found that fall had arrived in our absence. Of course, it is a California fall-70's during the day and upper 40's at night, sunny, with some changing leaves. We decided to visit a pumpkin farm on the coast at Half Moon Bay. Unfortunately, this was not a unique idea, so there was a bit of traffic, but the view of the hillside and the ocean was nice enough to keep us occupied. We went to a neat little pumpkin farm with a petting zoo, which Andrew loved, a kiddie train and of course pumpkins. Andrew complemented our current budget constraints beautifully by enjoying looking at the petting zoo from outside the fence, but refusing to go in ($3/person to go in), neighing at the ponies, but refusing to actually ride them ($5 saving) and watching the choo choo train for 20 minutes, then pitching such a fit when actually offered the chance to board the choo choo that they refunded him his tickets to get him off the train so he'd stop scaring the other paying customers. So, all in all, a fun, and cheap event. We left with a handful of pumpkins and memories.
