The Second Week +

Sleep has been issue at the Fetsch household lately so it's been a little more difficult to find an opportunity to post to the blog. We made it through week 2, and in fact Andrew is almost 3 weeks old. At his two week doctor appointment last Friday he weighed in at 6 lbs. 11oz. for a gain of 5 ounces. We would have liked to have seen a little more, but 5 ounces is OK. His height is 20 1/4 inches and his head was 39.5cm. Compared to all other babies at 2 weeks he's in the 10% range for weight, 15% for head circumference and 50% for height. The percentages seem low, but this is comparing him to babies that are born full-term and on their due-date as well. We're thinking that the difference in percentiles between weight and height might be an indicator that he's going to be a tall one. Time will tell...

Also, last week Erin's Aunt Jan left. She was here with us for the 1st week and a half. Without her help during that time things would have been much more difficult. And after she left Ross and Jess as well as Luke and Sara stopped by and brought dinner on the nights we were left alone. Now my parents are here for a week.



Tomorrow we go in for another weigh-in. We're hoping Andrew will have gained another 7ozs. Time to fatten him up...
